Sponsoring

My MS Perspective podcast is targeted extremely narrowly at people with MS. In addition to the people with MS, relatives and medical personnel around the topic of multiple sclerosis can be found among the listeners. After the very successful German podcast with more than 100,000 downloads, more than 35,000 YouTube views and more than 100,000 website views [as of July 7, 2023] from over 30 countries worldwide, the English one is targeting an even broader audience. And the interest in easy-to-understand and encouraging contributions on MS is high worldwide.

The weekly episodes consist of solo articles - in which I share my experiences, give tips and go into more detail about individual symptoms, examinations or summaries of important reports - as well as interviews with experts and patients.

The weekly episodes consist of solo articles - in which I share my experiences, give tips and go into more detail about individual symptoms, examinations or summaries of important reports - as well as interviews with experts and patients.

You are welcome to sponsor the podcast and specific topics, but I remain solely responsible for the content itself. It is important to me that my listeners are educated and informed, and receive support on the various issues surrounding living with multiple sclerosis.

What options are available exactly?

A sponsorship ad can be placed at three points - at the beginning, middle and end, also known as pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll.

  • The pre-roll is about 15 seconds long, consists of about 35 words and, as the name suggests, is played at the beginning.
  • The mid-roll tends to be in the middle of the post, depending on where an interruption is not considered distracting, and is about 60 seconds long, which is about 165 words.
  • The post-roll lasts roughly 30 seconds and contains about 70 words.

I will write and speak the text for the recordings myself, but I will need 10 to 15 words as a guideline. Before the actual recording, the text is of course harmonized, but should remain in my style, in order not to tear the listeners out too much.

Placement of a banner within the blog article is part of the sponsorship package. The banner should be delivered according to size specifications. You provide the design.

And how does that actually look?

Here you can see an example of the German episode "#159: Fußheberschwäche - Hol Dir Deine Mobilität zurück!".

After an introductory text that briefly outlines the content, the sponsorship follows, which appears in the podcast in the form of a pre-roll. I then go into what the actual problem is and what the effects are as a result. This is followed by an overview of the various ways to alleviate or compensate for the symptom.

This example is followed by an interview with an employee of Heller Medizintechnik and with two patients who use the product. And at the end, I summarize the topic again.

Depending on the topic, it is also possible that several sponsors appear in one episode or that a different concept comes into play.

In any case, it is important to me that the episode has a high information value for my listeners and that there are enough non-company elements in it.
